Graphic Products analyses the way in which everyday products are designed and marketed. It looks at areas such as Computer aided design, industrial printing processes, product promotion and packaging. Students will learn how to use computer based design software and a wide range of presentation techniques will be learned throughout the duration of the course.
Year 9 and most of year 10 will focus on building design skills and theory knowledge. Midway though year 10 students begin their major project which can be selected from a range of tasks set by the exam board. Students produce an A3 portfolio along with a scale model prototype of a product or building.
Graphic Products would suit any student that has an inquisitive mind and would like to progress towards a Product marketing / design, Computer / Media based or Architectural career.
